When Mike Raymond Sr. arrived in America from Italy back in the early 1900's, he started a coal and ice business. He grew his small company into a name people could trust in Pottstown. Located in the heart of the town, he instantly became the person to go to for all of South End's coal and ice needs. As time went on and his business grew, his son, Mike Raymond Jr., felt it was time to expand the business into the home heating oil field. He purchased an oil truck and from that time forward, Mike Raymond & Sons Inc. became known to the entire Pottstown area. With Mike Raymond Jr. starting a family of his own in the late 60's and early 70's, he moved to Stowe where he quickly began to expand the business to all the suburbs of Pottstown.
Now, that the business in its third generation of ownership, Mark Raymond, is continuing to strive for that commitment to excellence towards the customers that has always been a staple of the humble family business. The business has since expanded its service area to nearly a ten mile radius of Pottstown. All while still remaining true to great customer service, low prices, and overall satisfaction in all of our dealings. We remember that if not for you, there would be no us. We thank you for supporting our family throughout the years, many of you for three generations yourselves. So, whether you have recently begun allowing us to serve you, or if you have been with us for decades, we look forward to our children keeping your children warm for many more years to come.
